20 Years Old & 5’10”

Play MP3

I’ve made a detailed study of my phobias, my allergies, and motives too

I’ve read the best of Jung and Freud and Dr Spock to find out if they knew

I’ve studied my behaviour, oh can’t you see?

I’m trying hard to make a perfect man out of me

I’m 20 years old and I’m 5’10” and I’m starting all over again

I’ve studied anthropology, biology, the evolution of the human form

Aristotle’s Ethics, Maharishi’s laws, in my search for the normal norm

I sometimes am magnanimous, kind and sweet

But revert to being a bastard by the end of the week

I’m 20 years old and I’m 5’10” but I’m starting all over again

Well now I’ve studied everything so carefully, one singular problem still remains

Everybody tells me I must be myself, but if I am I’m not the same

It’s really quite confusing you must agree

That silly bugger Hamlet – he had nothing on me

I’m 20 years old and I’m 5’10” but I’m not starting all that again

I’d rather boogie

I’m not starting all that again

How truly pointless

I’m not starting all that again

It’s time for sex now

I’m not starting all that again

I’m really starving

I’m not starting all that again
